  • Master Equine Bodyworker (MEEBW - Level 4)

  • Third Year Students and newly qualified Physiotherapists, Chiropractors and Osteopaths in the areas above
  • ACPAT- 3rd year Students transferring from human to equine Physio
  • McTimoney Chiropractor- 3rd Year Student- transferring from human to equine Physio

The Course

The ORIGINAL Kinesio Taping Method developed by Dr Kase has expanded to equine. The growth in this branch of Kinesio Taping has been long anticipated. For several years Dr. Kenzo Kase and other Certified Kinesio Taping Instructors (CKTI) have been developing taping techniques for horses.


DAY 1 - The KT1 course introduces the Kinesio Taping Method (KTM) for Horses.

During this 8 hour class, the instructor will introduce Kinesio Taping for equine, including the fundamental concepts and the unique properties & uses of Kinesio Tex Tape. The lab sessions will provide opportunities to practice muscle applications for various areas of the body. Upon completion, attendees will be able to discuss and apply the Kinesio Taping Method to relax overuse syndromes, stimulate weak muscles, and decrease pain and swelling


DAY 2 - The KT2 course builds on material learned in KT1 advanced applications using the Kinesio Taping Method

The KT2 course builds on material covered in KT1. During this 8 hour class, the instructor will introduce the five Corrective Techniques and discuss their application in a variety of clinical conditions.

Attendees must take courses in order (KT1 &KT2 before KT3)
ONLY KTA-APPROVED courses are considered for obtaining accreditation as a Certified Kinesio Taping® Practitioner (CKTP). This is achieved after completion of KT3.

Biography

Lee Clark, CKTI, M.C.S.P, S.R.P. BSc.


Lee Clark

Lee Clark, MCSP, SRP, BSc, CKTI is a Chartered Physiotherapist.

He was a Physiotherapist during London 2012 Olympics working for LOCOG treating horses from all over the world. He was also an official Physiotherapist for the British Equestrian Endurance Team from 2010 to 2014.

Lee qualified in 1997 and worked in the NHS before graduating as a Chartered Animal Physiotherapist in 1999. He then completed a postgraduate course in Manual Therapy/Sports in 2001 and has undertaken additional training in Acupuncture, Laser Therapy, Neurology and Osteopathic Techniques.

Lee now combines human and equine work, dividing his time between Darlington FC Physiotherapy and Sport Injury Clinic and The Equine Physiotherapy Clinic.

Kinesio Taping Association Approvied Course

COURSE Syllabus

KT Equine 1: Introduction to the Kinesio Taping Method (KTM) for Horses (Total hours: 8)

Basic Kinesio Taping Concepts & Kinesio Taping Muscle Applications (to be taken in conjunction with KT2)
  • Designed to introduce equine practitioners to the KTM for horses.

KT Equine 2: Advanced Concepts & Corrective Techniques (Total hours: 8)

Corrective Kinesio Taping® Techniques (2 hrs)
  • Learn the five Corrective Techniques and discuss their application in a variety of clinical conditions.

Includes Kinesio Taping Equine KT1 & KT2 Workbook with a 60-day trial membership to the Kinesio Taping Association International.
